You’re looking for ways to deepen your impact and lead in a world where change feels constant.
You need someone who gets it—how to navigate storytelling and communication in a complex world where organizations are held accountable like never before.
With a layered work experience ranging from gubernatorial campaign communications to growing a network for queer creatives of color (in the midst of the pandemic!), I’m equipped with not just the hard skills for content creation, email strategy, and copywriting, but also soft skills like how to communicate as a business leader in a crisis.
How can we make a difference?
I believe thoughtful communications and change strategies don’t just mitigate risks—they drive innovation, build trust, and create a more empathetic, engaged, and equitable world.
The way I see it, storytelling is advocacy, and marginalized and system-affected communities deserve sincere and nuanced representation from the organizations they support through their money, attention, or otherwise.
I help fulfill that role by using my experience as a community organizer, a diversity, equity, and inclusion educator, and as a first-generation Cuban-American and queer, and trans nonbinary person to weave human, customer-centric communication strategies that resonate and inspire action.
In the past 7+ years, I’ve:
led communications and change management efforts for teams undergoing significant transitions, ensuring alignment between leadership and employees while fostering a culture of transparency and trust.
received recognition by the American Political Science Association for my research on identity and civic engagement (i.e., I know my way around data and how to determine what drives people to action)
consulted with hundreds of organizations on their marketing strategies (read some of my testimonials here)
founded Woc Space, a marketing studio, with a newsletter with 2x the average open rate and 3x the average CTR and social media with 2x the average engagement rate
worked with dozens of startup entrepreneurs to audit their marketing strategies for inclusivity and equity, with one client seeing twice the percentage of BIPOC clients after working together for three months
I achieve these results by prioritizing intentional, sustainable strategies that create lasting impact. If your organization values effective communication and thoughtful change management to achieve its goals, let’s connect.
